Rosemary's Reveries ep.1: A Heartfelt Hello
A Heartfelt Hello
Welcome. I greet you with open arms to this new space I've created. A place for me to post, catalog, and spread the things that I have learned and that I continue to learn in this life.
I'll be 100% honest though; this blog is a new venture for me. I've never been one to sit and journal and my experiences, but I've come to realize over the last few years that life isn't about how much you have accomplished. It's about WHY and HOW you accomplished these things and how it benefits not only the self, but those things that are dear to us. From this I know that I want to catalog our journey and share our knowledge with the world.
The why and how has become an extremely important part of my life. Why makes me ask myself questions that I haven't previously thought of.
"Why do I want this?"
To live a cleaner, greener, more natural life. Closer to the way our ancestors lived.
How makes me think critically.
"How does this benefit us or the dream "
Does this purchase of ANOTHER berry bush benefit us or hinder us?
During my musings I found love to be my primary motivator: love of family, love of nature, love of community. We want to embark on this journey for and with love.
Although love is my primary motivator, I would have less motivation without my faith. Norse Paganism, a belief in the old Scandinavian Gods and Goddesses, plays an extremely heavy roll in my husband's and I's dream of creating our homestead and farm. Together we found our already existing faith deepen in the Gods, and though we are newer to our faith, we trust our Gods and Ancestors to see us through this life.
I know now that the path that we have chosen, in creating Sølvfelt Farm and to live a natural and Norse Pagan based life is the correct choice for us. Every day we take more steps towards our dream, and the image keeps becoming clearer.
We welcome you to tag along with our journey and learn with us. May your life be filled with love, gardens, and magic.
Gods watch over you, friend.
-Rosemary.
We find heaps of joy in the moments we get a sight of our natural neighbors. The buzzing bees spend much of their day here. Gorging on various flowers and drinking from the watering trays in the garden.
